Norris Lake is nestled in a remote ridge and valley
region of East Tennessee while still less than 40 minutes from
the metropolitan area of Knoxville. Norris Lake lies southeast
of the Cumberland Mountains and northwest of the Great Smoky Mountains.
Interstates
1-40 and 1-75 travel through Knoxville allowing easy access from
many large eastern cities. Norris Lake is also only
a short drive from Pigeon Forge, Gatlinburg and the Great Smoky
Mountains National Park. The East Tennessee area has a very pleasant
and desirable climate with elevations averaging between 1,000
and 2,000 feet. East Tennessee also has four (4) distinct seasons
with
mild to moderate winters, green lush springs, warm summers and
comfortable and incredibly colorful autumns. Knoxville is also
the home of the University of Tennessee and several national
companies with many job opportunities.
